OUR BISHOP
Bishop Joseph G Makwakwa together with his lovely wife,Dr Deborah V Makwakwa are the founders of Agape Christian Churches,however,the Giyani main branch is presently called Agape Eagles Cathedral(as it is the seat of the Bishoprick throne).The church was founded in 1990,March,the 4th at Giyani town.The church has since grown into a number of sister churches in South Africa,Malawi,Zambia and Mozambique.The other churches of Agape are still called Agape Christian Churches.
OUR CHURCH
Our church Agape Eagles Cathedral also known as Agape Christian Church is an apostolic-prophetic church with a church planting mandate by winning people to Christ and a mission to destroy poverty upon God's people, to raise Kingdom-minded business people and career people.
Agape Christian Church is also mandated by God to raise and empower leaders to do the work of the ministry and to provide apostolic covering to Pastors who submit under their coverimg.
Agape Christian Church stands out as one of the few charismatic and pentecostal churches engaged in evangelism and training their members to be effective community members and make a difference.We prepare them to be winners on earth and for heaven when they depart from the planet.We believe in healing,deliverance from demonic bondages.Motivational preaching and expository teaching of the word is one of our strong points.We are a prophetic church that operates in power gifts and other gifts of the Holy Spirit.Worship is the power engine of the church and commitment is our life.
The evangelistic and apostolic arm of the church is called" Joseph Makwakwa ministries Inc".,which is a personal ministry of the Bishop and Dr VD Makwakwa to the Body of Christ and the world.We do tent crusades,interdenominational youth,couples and general conferences.We are also founders of the" Eagles Network of Christian Churches",which comprises ministers of the Gospel who submit to the Bishoprick office of the Bishop for fathering and mentoring.We ordain Pastors,Prophets,Evangelists,Bishops,Apostles,Teachers and Prophets into their sacred offices and ministries.
