OUR HISTORY

 

Agape Christian Church was founded by Bishop Dr Joseph G Makwakwa assisted by his wife Dr Deborah V Makwakwa as an Apostolic-Prophetic church on the 4th March 1990 at Giyani town in the Province of Limpopo,South Africa.

The Lord led the Bishop to plant a number of churches in the villages,Polokwane,Malawi,Zambia and Mozambique.In 1999 on the 13th October he was consecrated to the sacred office of a Bishop by Bishop Wayne T.Jackson of Detroit,Michigan(USA).The consecration took place at Giyani before more than 4000 people.

Bishop Makwakwa is also the President of Joseph Makwakwa ministries Inc.,an apostolic and evangelistic ministry of the Bishop and his wife to the world.He is a graduate of the university of Limpopo,Haggai Institute(Singapore).He and his wife hold three doctoral degrees with three prestigious theological seminaries.He is an author of five christian books.He has travelled extensively all over Africa,USA,Europe and the east on christian missions.He is a dynamic conference speaker,an international motivational speaker who is in great demand in churches,conferences,seminars etc.
